Gazeboshop were pleased to be chosen by Silverstone Classic, The World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival, to supply them with forty 3m x 6m Aluminium Extreme 40 Series Instant Shelters.

Multi-purpose Mini Marquees

During the three-day motor extravaganza these mini marquees were used to create temporary pit garages and covered some of the world’s most valuable sport and racing cars.
We were delighted and highly honoured to be chosen. Instant Shelters | Mini Marquees by GazeboshopAs a leading supplier of high quality pop up gazebos to the event and motorsport industries it was a privilege to support such a prestigious motor racing event.
The event organisers required a cost effective yet, professional and long lasting instant shelter. It had to be strong, robust and sturdy (due to the value of the cars), whilst being securely anchored to the hard standing surface – withstanding any unexpected changes in the weather.
Based on the brief, we suggested our Aluminium Extreme 40 Series range, designed for maximum strength and durability. This unit uses a high grade of 60661/T6 aluminium tubes in the framework and is relatively lightweight, making it easy to put up and transport. We also supplied the organisers with a large number of steel stacking leg weights to ensure the shelters were securely anchored on the tarmac surface.
The event, the largest in the classic car racing calendar, attracted a record crowd and staged the world’s biggest ever parade of Grand Prix cars as well as special celebrations to mark Maserati’s centenary and 50 years of the Ford Mustang. The 2015 Silverstone Classic (24-26 July) is set to be another massive record breaker – not least as the dazzling extravaganza will be celebrating its own 25th anniversary.
