Are all of your gazebos pop up?

All parts are replaceable, with spare parts readily available from stock for next working day delivery. Our pop up gazebos come in a wide range of strengths and sizes, from the entry level, heavy duty Classic Steel 30 Series range to our commercial grade Extreme 50 HEX Series gazebos, renowned for their strength and durability in all weathers. Take a look at our industry-leading selection today.
How do I assemble my pop up gazebo?
Most of our gazebos can be easily erected with two people in under 60 seconds by following the assembly gazebo instructions. Here’s our helpful guide to putting up a gazebo.
How do the sidewalls attach to the canopy?
Our sidewalls fix to the canopy and frame with a quick fit velcro system. Please refer to our set-up instructions for correct method.
We also sell half height sidewalls and heavy duty clear PVC sidewall panels – ideal for market traders, catering and street food units. Browse our wall kits here.
Are your gazebos waterproof?
All our canopies and sidewalls have PVC coating on the inside to ensure they are fully waterproof. Furthermore, all canopy stress points are reinforced with additional fabric and the seams are multi-stitched with heat sealed tape to ensure waterproofing.
Condensation
Condensation occurs naturally, and is often mistaken for a leaking structure, with customers encountering water inside their gazebos. Gazebos are highly waterproof, making it hard for moisture to escape.
If it’s raining, your chance of experiencing condensation will increase as there’s more humidity in the air. Polyester is a non-breathable fabric, which once treated with waterproofing, will not allow moisture to escape the tent. Therefore, to reduce condensation within the gazebo, it’s important to always keep your gazebo well ventilated. Condensation occurs even when your tent is empty.
Signs of Condensation
- Damp on the framework inside the unit
- Water droplets collecting in pools on the gazebo canopy and sidewalls
- By wiping the inside of your canopy or sidewall panels with your hand and feeling a film of dampness
- To find condensation has formed overnight

How do I maintain and protect my gazebo?
Keep your gazebo as good as new all year round by following these simple and easy tips!
How to Store:
Gazebo canopies are not designed to be left out all year long, as adverse weather (such as strong winds, snowfall or heavy rain) can cause irreparable damage. Pools of water or snow can stretch the canvas, weakening the material and causing tears, and strong wind can cause the gazebo to uplift. Even long periods of intense sunshine can lead to discolouration. Here’s how you can protect your gazebo in winter.
Most importantly, when putting your gazebo away, make sure the fabric isn’t wet, as this can cause discolouration or mould. The walls and canopy should be completely dry before storing for any length of time. If they are wet or damp when packing away after using the gazebo, you must unpack them and dry them out thoroughly before storing away. Use a gazebo storage bag for protection.
You can download our owner’s manual for tips on how to maintain your gazebo frame etc.
Is the gazebo fabric easy to clean?
The best policy when cleaning a gazebo is to act quickly! As soon as you see a spot or a mark, wipe it away to ensure that it doesn’t leave a stain. If left without cleaning, the canvas canopy or sidewalls are at risk of becoming mouldy or stained, especially in the damper months.
To clean your canopy and walls we recommend using a mild solution of warm soapy water, a soft scrubbing brush and to clean by hand. Do not use pressure washers or steam cleaners as this will affect the material and waterproofing. None of the coverings are machine washable. Those looking for how to clean a gazebo should also know that removing tree sap and dirt immediately is the best policy, as it will make cleaning the gazebo far easier.
Do your pop up gazebos comply with event health & safety regulations?
All our canopies and sidewalls are made with flame retardant material to BS 7837: 1996, DIN 4102-B1 & DIN 4102-B2 (for use in public places).
Can I transport my gazebo with the canopy attached?
We strongly recommend removing the canopy before transporting a gazebo – it only takes a minute to reassemble and will save you time and money on repair work! Pack down individual items and store them in protective bags. And finally ensure the gazebo is firmly secured to prevent movement in transit.
Tears and holes are often the result of transporting the canopy whilst it’s still attached to the frame. Vibrations and shaking during transportation can cause the frame parts and joints to rub against the fabric and PVC coating and thus inflict damage to the canvas.
While this damage can be minimised by transporting the pop up gazebo in a vertical position, we would like to stress that if the canopy is attached this is at the users own risk. Extreme care must be taken as the fabric can easily get caught up in the gazebo mechanism which can cause holes and these damages are not covered under warranty.
Do your gazebos come supplied with warranty?
All our gazebos are made from the very best components to ensure long-lasting satisfaction and are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty of up to three years (against manufacturing defects). To confirm the length of your frame warranty, please refer to the frame you are purchasing for more information, and for further guidance please refer to our warranty policy.
Please note canopies and sidewalls (for all frame ranges) come with a 12 month warranty.
Our pop up gazebos are not permanent structures and should not be left unattended for prolonged periods of time (especially in adverse weather). Damage caused through improper use or incorrect anchoring of structures in adverse weather, such as strong winds, snowfall or heavy rain, will not be covered under our warranty. Our full terms & conditions can be found on our website.
Are spare parts available?
All of our pop up gazebos are built to last and made from the very best components to ensure long lasting satisfaction, however should any part of your pop up gazebo ever get damaged, we stock a full range of spare parts for next working day delivery. Our spare parts are available to purchase here.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct spare part(s) are ordered as they’re non-refundable; therefore, if you’re unsure which gazebo frame you have, please email [email protected] with photos of each part required and the gazebo frame you have, to ensure the correct replacement parts are sent out to you.
Do I need to anchor my pop up gazebo down?
Yes, it is important your gazebo is always adequately anchored, as weather conditions can change throughout the day. Without proper anchoring, a gazebo can be blown over and cause not only irreversible damage to the gazebo shelter itself but could also lead to damaging other property. Your gazebo comes supplied with a standard tie down kit, suitable for soft ground.
Best practice is to anchor the straps to the frame itself, and not the canopy. If the straps are attached to the canopy in severe wind, this can cause the material to rip, which will then be void under warranty.
Customers erecting their gazebo on hardstanding ground (such as concrete or tarmac) can purchase leg weights to secure their unit.
We recommend:
- Units up to 3m x 3m – a minimum of 15kg per leg
- Units up to 3m x 6m – a minimum of 20kg per leg
- Units up to 4m x 8m – a minimum of 25kg per leg
Extra weights should be added if sidewalls are attached and/or if the weather forecast requires.

What if my artwork isn’t good enough to print?
Don’t worry, Gazeboshop can help!
Artwork supplied in jpeg format may need to be redrawn for printing. Pixel-based raster artwork is generally not suitable for large-scale printing and cannot be enlarged without losing image quality.
We can redraw low resolution logos to vector format – there will be an additional fee for this service.
Unfortunately, not all low resolution artwork can be redrawn; if the artwork is too pixelated, we may not be able to offer a redraw.
Simply email your artwork over to [email protected] and we’ll check the quality of the files for you, confirming whether a redraw is required or not. Price is subject to sight of artwork.
Once your logo has been redrawn into a vector format it is then suitable for large-scale prints and you will be able to use it for just about anything; from a promo bag to a magnificent billboard, you won’t need to worry about blurry, jagged edges anymore!
I don’t have a vector version of my logo?
Upon receipt of your artwork, if we are unable to use/print your logo, a member of our team will get in touch to talk you through the next steps.
Can I produce and supply my own gazebo artwork?
Yes you can. If you’re producing your own artwork, we strongly encourage you to use and download our product specific artwork templates. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions relating to any of the templates.
Please familiarise yourself with our design guidelines to check your artwork complies with our requirements before saving and sending us your template. Please include any brand information e.g. specific pantone colours on the template itself to ensure correct colour matching. As mentioned in our design guidelines, we ask that all submitted files be saved in CMYK colour mode as RGB is primarily for artwork that is intended to be viewed on screen only.
FAQs for Stretch Tents
If I order today, when can I expect delivery?
Neither the Bonga nor Awana Stretch Tents are kept in stock. Customers should allow approximately 15 working days for delivery from date of order. Our Sales team will keep you informed about the delivery date.
Should you require one for a specific date, we recommend calling us on 01295 258922, before placing your order, to discuss your requirements and lead times.
Can a stretch tent be set-up anywhere?
Essentially yes, stretch tents can be constructed on uneven grounds and can also be attached seamlessly to buildings, making them a great choice for all types of events in all types of terrain.
Could you explain the set-up options to me?
With a stretch tent, you really can do anything – lending itself perfectly to many events, including corporate gatherings, weddings, festivals, private parties and food fairs.
Various designs are possible with the Bonga stretch tents, thanks to the stretch fabric and the movable clamps and tensioning points. In theory, there are countless potential designs for the Bonga stretch tent, but in general we distinguish between three types of design.
SAFARI SET-UP: The safari design makes use of fewer poles but more clamps. Depending on the size of the tent you have between one and three side poles on one side. Beneath the most central of the three clamps is a side pole. The clamps on both sides of the pole are pulled to the same anchoring point. Because fewer poles are used, the final appearance is lighter and more playful. For the safari design you will need all the accessories supplied, but you will have several poles left over.
STANDARD SET-UP: With the standard design, clamps are attached to the canvas every two metres and a pole is attached under each clamp. The poles vary in length, resulting in the typical zig-zag shaped design of a stretch tent. The corner poles are therefore the lowest. The next pole is higher, the next one lower again. With a standard design you can make the maximum use of the covered area. For this design you use all the poles supplied, but you do not need all the accessories supplied.
FREESTYLE SET-UP: One of the advantages of the Bonga stretch tent is the freedom of design. In addition to the two regular design options, you can let your creativity go wild and even experiment with the design; open sides, closed sides, a combination of both, part safari design, part standard design – the sky is the limit. Even when the tent has already been erected, you can easily change the configuration by adding or removing poles or clamps!
All our Awana stretch tents can be set-up in two basic ways: “SUNNY SIDE-UP” – with the poles in the corners or “CROOKED CORNERS” whereby the poles are on the sides and the corners are pulled down towards anchoring.
Please note the set-up for SUNNY SIDE-UP is only recommended on windless and relatively dry days. Please refer to the product manuals for step-by-step instructions on how to set each layout up.
In addition, the two larger Awana tents can be set-up for “POLAR PEAK” the only configuration to use a. This layout is not possible with the 4.2m x 4.2m Awana tent.
Can you connect stretch tents together?
Yes, you can join different size Bonga stretch tents together via a guttering and clamping system, however the joining sides need to be the same length, e.g. a 6.5m x 5m can be connected to a 6.5m x 10m but along the 6.5m side only.
This system of combining stretch tents works particularly well for venues who host a range of different events throughout the year. From creating two smaller set-ups separate from each other one weekend, to then combining them for larger-scale events – it’s good to have options!
Please contact the team for pricing and more information.
Can the canopy be attached to outbuildings?
Yes, you can attach Bonga stretch tents to buildings, fencing and trees. To rig it up to alternative anchoring points, you will need to source the necessary attachments, such as ringbolts for walls or ratchet straps for trees.
Is the stretch tent fabric waterproof?
The triflexx double coated canopy of the Bonga stretch tents is 100% waterproof and made from fire retardant material that is specifically developed for a commercial market. The 560 g/m² cloth consists of three layers and is treated on the outside with a protective waterproof PVC coating.
Similarly, the exterior of the woven elastic stretch material used to manufacture the Awana tents has a watertight PVC coating.
What are the main differences between Awana and Bonga stretch tents?
The Awana is suitable for short-term occasions such as birthday celebrations to dinner parties and barbecues with friends. Lightweight and compact, the tent is easy to carry, making it a popular choice for quick, temporary set-ups such as a nice picnic or a spontaneous day out by the sea.
Available in two colour combinations and three sizes, the Awana is ideal for creating a nice, shaded spot, wherever, whenever and with whoever you are out and about with!
However, if you need your tent to stand for several weeks or months continuously, without doubt the best choice is our Bonga Triflexx double coated stretch tent.
The combination of the very high tensile strength (1000 N/5 cm), the weight of the canvas (560 g/m²) and the PVC coating on both sides of the canvas ensures that this tent can remain upright for long periods without any problem. The tent remains easy to erect due to the canvas and the high tensile strength makes it possible for the tent to be used intensively for long periods.
At what wind speed should I take my stretch tent down?
As a rule, regular tension and rig checks should be conducted to ensure the tents are always anchored securely. As a precaution, it is also advisable to monitor weather conditions and MET Office predictions. MET Office Beaufort wind force scale linked below.
The Awana stretch tents can resist wind speeds of 17 to 27 mph (5 to 6 on the Beaufort scale).
Whereas our range of Bonga stretch tents are manufactured to stand for longer periods and is wind resistant up to wind speeds of 34 to 47 mph (8 to 9 on the Beaufort scale). It can withstand pulling forces up to 1000 N / 5 cm.
Our double coated stretch tents are perfect for long-term semi-professional use (from couple of weeks up to a couple of months) and you can easily set them up with two or three persons, depending on the size.
What is the difference between the Bonga pole sets?
A Standard Aluminium pole set has a 40mm pole diameter whereas a Commercial Aluminium Heavy Duty pole set is 60mm in diameter and is supplied with carabiner rigging.
We also stock a Eucalyptus wooden pole sets with carabiner rigging. Please call us on 01295 258922 for prices and more details.
Do you supply wooden poles with carabiner rigging for the Awana stretch tents?
All Awana stretch tents are supplied with an aluminium pole set regardless. However, wooden poles with carabiner rigging are available to purchase on request (as an optional extra). Please contact the team on 01295 258922 for further information.
Can I get sidewalls for my stretch tent?
No, sidewalls are not available for either stretch tent.
However, it is worth noting that you can play around with the configuration of Bonga stretch tents and adapt the shelter to create additional protection from the elements. You can always make small changes to the setup while the tent is up by adding or removing poles or clamps.
For example, when the weather is nice, set it up with four open sides, when it’s windy with one or more closed sides and in case of rainfall you can set up the tent almost completely closed.
Please note the two larger Awana stretch tents also offer this flexibility.
Can I erect a stretch tent on hard standing ground, such as tarmac?
This is possible however it is the user’s responsibility to find a solid alternative anchoring option to pegs. We recommend a minimum of 300kg to each anchoring point referenced as referenced in the product manual.
What stretch tent size is suitable for my event?
The stretch tent size you will need depends on what you will be using the stretch tent for, the location and the number of guests. Please refer to the table below for guidance:
